My awesome hubby and a craft

Yesterday Matt brought me home a lovely surprise......
The best part is that it was "just because" :) It totally made my day. Every time I look at them I smile. I love mums and I love that they match all of my autumn decor. What a wonderful, sweet husband I have. Thanks for being so thoughtful honey!
This morning my sister in law Heather watched Ethan. I was able to go to the scrapbook store and browse. I bought some fun paper. I had $13 left on a gift card. The hard part was only spending $13. It was nice to be able to take my time and peruse at my leisure :) I was also able to run a couple other errands. I had been wanting to make something with candy corn, so I stopped at Wal Mart and picked up a few supplies. I came home and made these for less than $5.00 each!

I'll probably change them out each season. Each hurricane was only $2.75. I already had the ribbon and candles. It's a good thing I don't have a bigger house.... I would just be tempted to fill it with more stuff!

Not eating the candy corn would be the biggest challenge in that craft! Those flowers are gorgeous...what a good hubby you have. :-) You guys are perfect for each other.

'Just Because' gifts are the best!
Cute candy corn decor. What a great idea! And you can't beat the price. :)

Sounds like you have a thoughtful hubby. I love the candle holder idea, I just might steal it. I am always up for SIMPLE craft ideas.

I am pretty sure that candy corn has nothing to do with either candy or corn. I do however earnestly believe that candy corn is the baby horns which fell off of a growing demon. They taste so awful; that is the only explanation I could come up with for where they came from. Matt does rock though!

Your hurricanes looked nice in person, too. Happy birthday on Sunday. Maybe I'll make you a cake "just because" sometime.

I love your candle and hope it's ok if I steal your idea... I'm overseeing our church's harvest party and these would make a great table center piece! Also, your flowers were beautiful.. my hubby does that for me too. "awesomeness' from run in their family!!
