New Years

We spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with the Flores family.  They packed up and stayed at our house.  We had such a good time.  We love having sleepovers with them :)  We ate lots of yummy food, hung out, went on a walk, and played games. They brought their Wii over and we had a bowling tournament, and then played lots of Wii Fit. My mom even got in on the action on New Years Day when she stopped by.

On New Year's Eve we had all the kiddos in bed by 7:00.  Jolene and I got gussied up and pretended we were going out, even though all we did was go to our bar, lol.  It's still fun to get dressed up :)  We made drinks and enjoyed adult time until ringing in the new year at midnight, and then going promptly to bed, lol.

Matt made these awesome wine glasses for us to use at our bar.  He etched each of our names in a glass, with a font that fit each of our personalities.  They turned out so fun.  Now we don't have to worry about wine charms, or picking up each others glasses :)

Matt made traditional martinies, which I do not care for.  I do however think they look very classy, so I took some pictures of them.

New Year's Day we made our traditional Ollie Bollen, a Dutch treat.
We did more eating, hanging out, game playing, and Wii-ing :)
It was a fun way to ring in the new year.
