We were laughing that Everett and I matched, so Matt took a picture :)

I walked out one evening from putting Everett to bed to find this sweet scene, Matt coloring with Alayna :)

This was from Martin Luther King Junior Day, when we had the day off of school.  We packed a picnic and went to Ford Park.  My mom met us for a little bit, which was nice.  The kids had fun climbing trees, exploring, and feeding the ducks.  They didn't really play on the play equipment at all :)

A Friday afternoon selfie... happy for the weekend!

You will ALWAYS find this girl with a little bit of nature in her hands, or pockets.  Do you see her filthy sleeve?  She ate a fudge bar and got it EVERYWHERE! haha.  I go through a LOT of Spray and Wash with her!

Date night last month.  We went and tried the new State on State Street in Redlands.  It had really yummy burgers, great beer selection, and tons of fun cocktails.  We both really enjoyed it.  We shared the Putin fries to start, they had cheese curd, gravy and short ribs on them!  yum!

Oh, just a selfie while I waited for clients one day at a photoshoot :)

Poor Everett had his first time on antibiotics a few weeks back when he got a double ear infection because of a really bad cold he had.  So sad.  I'd really, really, really like if we could all stay healthy for a while!

Alayna and some friends were playing out back and she called me and told me they found a toad.  This was a first in our yard.  Of course I had to pick him up so we could all get a closer look :)  We then released him back into the bushes.

I took Ethan out for a little date one Sunday for some frozen yogurt.  We don't get one on one time very often, and he LOVES it.  He's so cute and tells me he loves me about 100 times :)

The kids both really wanted to attend the school skating party a couple of weeks back.  Matt stayed back with Everett and I took them.  It was their first time ever on roller skates and it was interesting!  Thank goodness for those walker things, or they wouldn't have been able to do it at all!  They both tried so hard, but still fell so many times.  We decided after an hour that we were all pretty tired and ready to call it quits.  They still had fun though.

A little outing at Bracken Bird Farm in Redlands for my naturalist on her day off.  She loved it of course (we've been there before).  I so love that she gets to be home still on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Taking advantage of our last year together before she's in school all day!

Playing out front after we finish homework is a favorite activity for everyone.  Everett loves being pushed around in this car.

Alayna was excited for Pajama day during P week :)

Brothers playing together in the morning on a day off :)

Climbing one of Grandma's walnut trees

"Mom, guess what?  This rollie pollie was in the same spot that I left him in yesterday!"

Everett likes to pull himself up to standing but does not know how to get back down, so he starts fussing and crying :)

Playing at the park.... what she does :)

A park selfie with Everett

My mom babysat the kids Friday afternoon and evening so Matt and I could go out for Valentine's.  We went out to Temecula and wine tasted at two wineries, then had dinner at South Coast Winery.  It was so very nice to be together for several hours have yummy food and wine and get uninterrupted conversation!

We purchased a hiking backpack for Everett and went out on a hike this weekend on the Crafton Hills.  It is a very steep hike, and honestly it was quite challenging with the backpack, mostly because it made our upper back and shoulders hurt.  Matt and I each carried him for half.  I'm not sure if I love it or not, but I do love hiking, so I guess this is the only way we'll be able to do it for a while!  I'm wondering if a less steep hike would be better with this thing.

She was so excited that there was a whole field of flowers at Flaghill park!

The Oates came and met up with us yesterday for our day off school.  The kiddos don't get to see each other very much now that my kids are in school in Redlands.  We've definitely been enjoying the absolutely lovely weather, but really hope we get more rain since we so badly need it!

I'm impressed that you lasted an hour roller skating! "Interesting" makes me think you might wait a while to try again? :) Glad you got to go out for Valentines!
