As I mentioned in my previous post, we drove straight from the wedding up to Healdsburg to visit the Flores family.  We stayed three nights with them.  It was fun to be there on a Sunday and get to go to church with them and see Danny preach.  That was also Mother's Day.  Danny and Jolene arranged for us to go to a winery that some people from their church own (Arista), and we got to have a picnic there. It was amazing because it's a private winery that people can only taste at with appointment, and we felt privileged to get to enjoy the place. We got to picnic in the area they use for weddings, and we had it all to ourselves.  It was the most perfect day, so gorgeous out and we enjoyed every second.

Together again, yay!!!

Arista was such a beautiful property.  I brought along my tripod and camera so that we could get our annual picture with all 10 of us that we normally take on Easter :)

The owners of Arista are the sweetest people. We loved talking with them.

All that playing tires a gal out....

As we were standing there talking a little visitor slithered next to us...

Since it was Mother's Day, Jolene and I wanted to go do a little wine tasting sans kiddos after our picnic.  We made it to one winery down the road, but we didn't realize everything closes at 5:00.  So we'll have to do more next time we visit :)

Pretty much all of the wines in the area are amazing, as is the scenery!  It was SUCH a lovely day.  Thank you Jolene for packing that amazing picnic and setting it all up!

The other full day we were up there we started off with a nice slow morning, and then a walk down the road to the park.

We then headed up the 101 a bit to have lunch at Coopola winery.  It was gorgeous and of course delicious.  We then went down the road and hit up two different vineyards to taste.

It was such a fun visit and we were of course sad to leave.  It's about a solid 8 hour drive (not including stops), so it's not super close, but at least it's something that we can do in a day.  We miss having the Flores family nearby so very much, and are thankful for the time we could spend with them.
