Slow Summer

One of my favorite parts about summer is that everything just slows down.  We have almost no commitments, work slows down for me, and we have time to just "be".  We enjoy slow mornings without having to rush out of the house and time to play.

This was an epic, multi roomed hotel fort they built, haha.

We don't do much technology around here, but occasionally they play a little Wii.

Beach Days

We've had two beach days so far this summer, and we hope to have a few more!  It's our happy place.  I had purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute Duffy Boat rental in Newport, and we had fun using it.  We then spent the rest of the day at the beach.

And here was another beach day.  The pictures all look the same because we always wear our "beach suits", and go to the same exact place in Newport, haha.  I have the kids wear the same suit to the beach because they kinda get destroyed from the sand.

Ahhhh, life is good!

Forest Falls

We met some friends in Forest Falls and walked to the lower falls.  The kids all had a blast exploring, playing in the water and building dams.

Random June Fun

I cannot believe June is almost over!  We are soaking up summer for sure, and loving it, but it sure seems to be going by much too quickly!

I've been trying to go running from 6:00am-7:00 three times a week.  It's great because the sun is not up yet and it's nice and cool.  The hard part is rolling out of bed :)  I have to be back before 7:00 because that's when Matt leaves for work.  I don't try to go to the gym during the summer... but I do miss it.  I don't want to have to drag my kids to Redlands and put them in the kids club.  I'd rather get my workout in early and have the rest of the day to spend with them.

I always enjoy this herd of cows and the view, it's also my turnaround point :)
Ethan built another bench....
Of course we've been doing lots of swimming!!!  We love our pool.

I also really enjoy reading by the pool.... hehe

We had a Red Racer snake in our yard.... the first snake we've ever seen in our yard.
